It started with a pair of parakeets and the rest, as they say, is history. From the age
of two I have always had some sort of pet.. Hamsters, gerbils, cats, dogs, fish, a
rabbit. The only thing I hadn't owned yet was a reptile. It wasn't until I was
dating my husband that my desire for having a reptile was able to happen and the
reptile menagerie started. There were geckos, iguanas, chameleons, newts, turtles, and
then my ghost corn.
I was amazed at all the "colors" that corns came in, but I was in for a real surprise
when I saw my first picture of a piebald ball python. To say I was hooked was an
understatement. This became my dream snake and I began to do research on Ball
Pythons. The more I learned, the more I liked and I knew that I had to have a ball
python or three. My first ball python is a reduced pattern normal male. His gentle
disposition and shy but curious nature intrigued me and captured my heart. I just had
to have more, and so my collection is growing rapidly.
Sunset Serpents is the result of my desire to share my joy and admiration for these awe
inspiring creatures. I strive to provide all of my animals with the best care possible
rather than just the basic necessities. To keep and breed these animals is a privilege,
and I am ecstatic to have the opportunity to do so.
Sincerely,
Doris Barton
